BenQ DC C1060

I love photography, and while I’ve never had a camera till last summer, when I kinda scammed my friend into selling hers at an 80% discount, the quality of the phone camera has always been the most essential factor when buying a cellphone. Nevertheless, I have become less and less enthusiastic about "flawless picture," as phones are obviously getting better at capturing high-quality, near-perfect shots. While I appreciate the realism of new cameras, I miss the vintage vibe of old ones, which is hard to find in new models without heavily relying on editing apps. My current camera, the semi-stolen one, is a Sony from the early 2010s that doesn't have great quality, but I still feel that charm in the photos I take. The problem is that it's quite heavy, and I can't take it everywhere I want like a phone. The solution, however, came to me after I tested my friend's small digital camera, aka BenQ DC C1060, a model from a company that I never knew existed in the first place. They don't produce this model anymore, so I had to check my new favorite app, 闲鱼, and order a second-hand. Honestly, spending money on a brand-new camera is quite dumb, in my opinion, and you can usually find what you want with a few scratches on the body for a much lower price. The seller was also significantly considerate, and when he found out I'm a foreigner, as it was taking me ages to respond to his detailed explanations in Chinese, he decided to add a free card reader to my order. All around, I'm very happy to stick with older models, and hopefully, more people will start appreciating how charismatic they are rather than trying to capture everything in the most "realistic" way.
